  • Husa Terminals (subsidiary of HUSA logistics) operates Groningen Railport in Veendam and HUSA Terminals in Heerenveen. Veendam: one of the largest Dutch inland rail terminals. Groningen Railport is a particularly important logistics crossroads for containers between the main ports in the west (Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Antwerp) and the north (Bremen and Hamburg). Groningen Railport is also linked to the European timetable for conventional rail traffic. Together with the Groningen sea ports of Eemshaven and Delfzijl as well as the city of Groningen itself, HUSA Logistics provides a complete northern logistics package. Trimodal terminal Groningen Railport is a trimodal terminal (accessible by rail, road and water) which processes containers and conventional freight. HUSA Logistics provides a total logistics service for shipping companies, transport companies and clients. Groningen Railport has four 750-metre sidings, one of which is dedicated to conventional rail traffic. The containers are handled with reach stackers. HUSA Logistics offers loading and unloading facilities as well as ample storage options, including for classified freight. Storage locations and/or logistics nodes with a direct link to Groningen Railport form part of the Groningen Seaports portfolio. Project, bulk cargo transhipment and outdoor storage Thanks to the multimodal transport links on the site, the terminal is extremely suitable for project and bulk cargo handling. We regularly receive goods that typically cannot be transported along the roads. Fortunately, though, rail and water provide excellent alternatives. When these sizeable projects arrive, they can be stored directly at the terminal in Veendam.
